Dumpster-fairy.com is designed and maintained by Jessica “Jess” Green, a web designer who is currently working on her Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media at The Art Institutes International Minnesota.
Dumpster-fairy.com is my personal/professional collective—meaning that while this site is technically for fun (tutorials, Photoshop brushes and all), there are a few professional elements as well—namely the portfolio and the fact that the website itself is an advertisement of my design and web development skills. You will find tutorials for Photoshop (and other programs), royalty-free photos taken by myself, comic page templates and (eventually) a host of design resources and other bits of randomness for you to enjoy.
In my spare time, when I’m not dealing with school (or other) work, I write and illustrate an urban fantasy web comic called Silent Shadow. When I’m not doing that, I’m posting little tidbits about my life on my Livejournal (which is Friends-Only, sorry). I am nearly finished with my 4th (and final) year at Ai Minnesota. I used to work as a janitor, first for a contract cleaning company based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota, then more recently as a hospital housekeeper at one of the region’s Level One Trauma Centers. I left that job so I could finish my degree in Web Design & Interactive Media. I am also something of a fan of American muscle cars in general and the Ford Mustang, specifically.
